These two unique Scandinavian log houses are enviably situated on Yorkshire’s beautiful and unspoilt heritage coastline and nestled within the North York Moors National Park. Stylishly furnished these superb holiday homes offer accommodation with a slight difference and in particular the two storey log home which offers a mezzanine landing with seating area and balcony, complete with bistro table, chairs and views of the sea. The log houses are situated within 100 yards of the former Scarborough to Whitby railway line, now a famous ‘trailway’ offering a scenic cycle route towards both coastal towns. Nearby, only a short walk away is a secluded bay with a delightful twin waterfall renowned for its link to pirates and smugglers.
Staintondale is close to the sea and situated between the bustling resort of Scarborough with the busy fishing port of Whitby a little further north. The log houses provide a perfect base from which to explore the coastline, with the picturesque villages of Ravenscar, Robin Hood’s Bay and Runswick Bay all easily accessible. Also handy for visiting the vibrant market town of Pickering where you may board the North York Moors Steam Railway enjoying a journey through the quaint little North York Moors villages of Levisham, Goathland and Grosmont where the TV series ‘Heartbeat’ was filmed. The line stops at the bustling fishing port with many more attractions to discover.
