Out and about ....
The great outdoors of the North Yorkshire moors and East Coast has plenty of places for bracing walks, cycling and horse riding. There are safe, sandy beaches and miles of spectacular coastal footpaths to explore along the 40 miles of stunning coastline. Why not go fossil hunting at Ravenscar, or explore the Jurassic dinosaur cliffs and the coastal picturesque villages of Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay, both of which sit on the cliffs of the Cleveland Way. One of the most visited villages is Goathland which is famous for the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway and Yorkshire TV's 1960's based series "Heartbeat". Here are a few other ideas for great days out in the area.
